What is a listing?
To use the GovX verification services, you will create a Verification Listing. A listing identifies your organization in our system and allows you to configure the settings for your instance. In most cases, an organization will have a single listing, but it is also possible to create multiple listings in our system.
A listing allows you to configure the following settings, each of which is described in more detail below.
- Eligible affiliation groups
- Customize the display, including branding and colors
- Customize messaging
- Allow Facebook login
The following settings can be customized for your listing.
Eligible affiliation groups
GovX verifies the affiliation of 6 primary groups:
- Military Families
- Law Enforcement
- Medical Workers
- Government Employees
Each of these groups can be targeted at various levels. For example, under the group 'Military', you can target specific branches (Army, Navy, Air Force, etc). Under each branch, you can target specific statuses (Active, Veteran, Reserve, etc). This allows you to get very specific in targeting the exact eligible affiliations for your listing. You could target all Military or you could target just Army Veterans.

Our goal is to create a great experience for your customers while supporting and reinforcing your brand. To this end, you can skin the verification funnel to match your organization. The following elements are customizable:
Custom logo in form header

|Color scheme||You can customize the following elements:

Instead of a solid color, you can also apply an image to the form background. The image will only display on desktop screen resolutions.

Note: If you are using Campaigns, you can over-ride the Listing display settings with your Campaign settings by appending the Campaign Parameter to your authorization endpoint. You can learn more about Campaigns here.
In addition to the branding, we also allow you to customize some of the messages displayed during the verification process. Specific text areas include:
This is the message displayed on the opening screen of the verification funnel. You can use this text to reiterate your offer (ex: Acme Widget Company thanks you for your service with our military discount).

Note: If you are using Campaigns, you can over-ride the Listing messaging settings with your Campaign settings by appending the Campaign Parameter to your authorization endpoint. You can learn more about Campaigns here.
By default, we allow users to register and log in via Facebook. This doesn't impact the verification process, just account creation. Users that register with Facebook must still furnish proof of their group affiliation in order to be verified in our system.
You can choose to turn Facebook login off for your listing. However, for ease of registration, we recommend leaving this feature enabled.
