*Dashboard won't populate until a customer has successfully verified on the GovX ID button on your site
The GovX ID Shopify app gives you access to detailed reporting to track the effectiveness of your military discount offer. The GovX ID Dashboard is your command center to understand how the program is performing.
|1) Verifications||Tracks the total number of approved verifications through your app. This is a total count of verifications; not unique users. So, if the same customer logs in to retrieve a code three times, they will register three verifications.|
|2) Coupons||Tracks the number of unique coupon codes we distribute. Remember that customers are limited to one coupon code per 24 hours and, if a coupon code is not used, we will reissue the same code to the customer if they return at a later date. As such, the coupons distributed will always be equal to or less than the number of verifications.|
|3) Orders||Tracks the number of orders that redeemed a coupon code. These are just the orders that were driven by your military discount program.|
|4) Conversion rate||Measures the % of coupons that were redeemed. For the purpose of this report, we will log the conversion on the date the coupon was issued, even if the order occurred later. So, if I got the coupon on Monday but waited to order until Wednesday, you'll see the coupon conversion show up on Monday.|
Downloading GovX ID Orders
To download a spreadsheet of all GovX ID orders, click the "Download" button in the upper-right of the Dashboard.
This will allow you to download a CSV file with the following columns:
|Order ID||This is the unique identifier for the order in the Shopify system. Note: In the Shopify system, the order ID is different than the order number.|
|Order Date||The date the order was placed|
|Discount Code||The GovX ID discount code that was used on the order. All GovX ID codes start with "GX-".|
|Order Total||The order total, including shipping and taxes and net of the discount. This is what the customer paid.|
|The email address of the customer that was verified and claimed the discount code.|
|First Name||The first name of the customer that was verified and claimed the discount code.|
|Last Name||The last name of the customer that was verified and claimed the discount code.|
The verified affiliation(s) of the customer. If a customer has more than one verified affiliation (for example, a military veteran that is now a police officer), those affiliations will be separated by a semi-colon.
We display a single affiliation as a path, separated by "/". So, if I'm a Marine Vet, my affiliation will show up as "Military/Marines/Veteran".
Alternatively, you can also export your orders directly from the Shopify Store order table. To export your orders, go to Orders > All Orders and click "Export" in the upper left corner. You'll then be able to select the orders you want to export. This will give you a CSV file that includes a row for each order placed and a column for discount code.
Shopify will email you the CSV file for Excel when ready. Since all GovX ID discount codes start with the prefix "GX-", you'll be able to easily identify the GovX ID orders in the list. Just sort the list by the "Discount Code" column to group the GovX ID orders.
You can also merge the two lists by linking on either the Discount Code columns or the Order ID columns.
If you notice that the names or emails on your Shopify orders don't match the names or emails on the GovX ID order download, this could indicate that a discount code was shared. For example, a military service member could have claimed a code and given it to their spouse to complete the order. This is something to keep an eye on, but not necessarily a sign of fraud.
