Overview
The EDI 846 document is used to communicate inventory information for a given set of products. The document is used to inform GovX of on-hand inventory (i.e. stock quantities) for all products listed on the GovX catalog. Product identifiers can include SKU or UPC, but must be communicated to GovX prior to sending the 846. GovX requires that an 846 be sent daily, but if sales volumes are high or inventory is shallow, you may be asked to send your inventory on an hourly basis. Keeping your inventory up-to-date is important to avoid cancellations and ensure a superior customer experience.
